Another productive week come to a close, and just in time for it to be a month! As such, here are some final thoughts for you guys.

I'm trying to decide if I want to continue doing that thing I do. Every day I go on my Facebook or Twitter, I tend to see a story about how someone said Them, Too about a guy... keep in mind all we have is their word. I'm sure the possibility that women, as humans, also lie never crossed their minds when the justice system goes Guilty Until Proven Innocent.

Because of that, I'm worried something like that, despite noblest intentions of mine, is gonna happen to me, too. Granted, I'm pretty low profile, but hey, living in the state I live on a college campus, I'm in double jeopardy. I might just stop commissioning things if I find myself in a position where I could get arrested.

Now, this is not my final answer. I just need some time to think this over. My birthday's coming up soon, I might have an answer by then. I'll let you know how things go.

See you then!

November 27 2017

Our productive week is done, so I leave you with these final thoughts.

If you've noticed, any of my pictures tend to have a lot showing, but never anything I'd consider "inappropriate." That goes for crotches of both genders, and the nipples of girls. But you've noticed I don't show that same level of censorship towards female butts. Why is that?

Maybe it's because I've seen screencaps from stuff like Family Guy and some of The Simpsons, but I don't necessarily consider butts a sexual thing. If we were to count every part of the body that made guys go gaga, we wouldn't be able to show girls' feet. But the butt is special. That's something shown on guys practically always. It was just in Thor: Ragnarok and used for comedic purposes there! To me, it's an easy way of using nudity for humorous purposes.

Of course, as primates, we are kinda animals, and we've caught animals doing far worse down there. They're even the reason breasts are on girls! They're literally designed to remind us of the butt. Come to think of it, the male sex organ is much the same way; often used to signal a guy as ugly or non-sexual, given how it shows on boys in anime and on ugly guys in stuff on [adult swim]. I honestly don't know what it is.

Still, this kind of thing, where a female butt is used for immediate sexuality and a male butt for immediate humor... it makes me wonder why, is all I'm saying. To an extent, I feel the same way about female nipples, but those can only be shown in R-Rated movies while butts can be PG-13, and parents take kids to see those movies all the time. If anyone has an answer, let me know.

Thanks for listening, all! See you in December!

October 15 2017

The week is over, and our hiatus has begun. With that, I leave you these final thoughts.

On a memorable blooper of Family Feud, the question was "Something you find in any horror movie." The contestant responded with a girl running without clothes. He was teased for his answer, and got buzzed incorrect.

Sad thing is, he's not exactly wrong. A while back, I did a run of the Friday the 13th movies in honor of the day itself landing in October (and I'm surprised a new one wasn't released that day!). I started to play a drinking game with the amount of times certain scenes happen, stuff like Window Kills, Failures to Secure the Kill Against Jason, Kills After Sex, Kills After Baring Breasts...

Yeah in case you couldn't tell, there's a lot of unnecessary nudity in that franchise. Despite how cool the first movie was, the movies seemed to really go all out with female nudity and sex scenes, and I'm not really sure why.

I think I might have a clue, though, and it has a lot to do with how adolescent these movies seem. These movies already have enough "awesome" gore to titillate the violent-minded 18-year-old male audience, now add in some sex and we're all clear. The strange thing is, it never seems to happen to males, for one reason or another. They get killed, sure, but not after having sex, or not after getting nude.

This sort of thing is very damaging for how men treat women, since it tells men "yes" but tells women "no." That is, "feel free to horn in on the nekkid girl, guys, but don't you ladies dare get nekkid yourselves unless you wanna get brutally murdered/raped." This kind of thing both celebrates perversion and denigrates women, and it's a terrible thing to do.

So that's what I've been doing on Friday. Have a great October!

Marked NSFW due to mentions of R-Rated movies.

October 04 2017

Our week has concluded after a slight delay, so I leave you with these final thoughts.

First off, we have just enough content to justify another week of this! We'll start this up again next week. Just know we'll be doing another Doraemon thing, in case that turns you off.

Now for the thought of the week. Ahem.

The sad thing about being a mad genius is that one is often misunderstood, and their misunderstanding leads them to be outcasted from society. People got arrested for saying the Earth was round. People got blacklisted for saying the Earth revolved around the Sun. And it's no surprise that a guy like me sees trouble as well with my crusade.

DeviantArt's rough standards make posting stuff like mine impossible, and every day those standards get stricter. 4chan's mods have become even more strict as of late, to the point of deleting even the censored material that my work is based on.

The only place left for me to go is some weird websites, but the numbers of those keep shrinking. Not only do they have to deal with Google's increasingly draconian policies, but they face takedowns on a regular basis until few remain.

All this means that in a sense, we're losing. That's not good.

I would urge you all to try and fight for this thing as much as possible. This problem still exists in the modern day, with people seeing pedophilia where none exists. Even boys are starting to fall under the grip of censorship. We need to start fighting back, or else we will fail in our objective.

Good luck, everyone. We'll need it.

September 17 2017

I know it's a special week, but I thought I'd leave you with some final thoughts.

Things've been pretty tough for me ever since I stopped earning income, but I've made due on donations. While I still can't quite work with Xierra yet, there are some cheaper artists out there I can work with, meaning I can still provide some content... provided I do it strategically.

As for word in the world of television, tonight marked the American TV premiere of the seventh episode Jojo's Bizarre Adventure: Stardust Crusaders, aka the episode that had a nude 11-year-old girl in it with plenty of shots of her butt. Granted, it was on [adult swim] and it was a tense scenario, but some progress is better than none. Seems to me like we may be approaching a new paradigm, that young female nudity is acceptable if it's tragic or harsh, while comedic female nudity of any kind is right out, as shown by an incident involving the N-Sane Trilogy of Crash Bandicoot. We'll see how this goes, however.

In terms of my personal life, I'm in a bit of limbo. I may or may not be moving to college this week. Given the tense relationship with my parents, I don't think things will go very well if I miss out on this week, but the situation is caused by factors out of my control. I'm doing what I can to survive, but with no source of income and the way things are going looking like I'll never get it back, and my inability to find another job, I'm in big trouble if I get kicked out. I'm gonna try and do our designated "week of examples" at the end of the month, of course, but I can only do so much.

So that's what's going on in life. Maybe we'll talk more when we get things under control. Until then, cheers!

July 09 2017

With the week over and our entrance into another hiatus, I leave you with these final thoughts.

We've had an impressively strong week this time, covering some material that happened recently, being introspective, debuting a new show, tackling tough issues and challenging beliefs. In other words, it was a week of pure sociology, and I'm glad to have had the chance to do it.

As for what we can do now that we're on hiatus, my thoughts turn to that one week we did a special episode all throughout the week. Very possibly we could do more to use more time. Of course, all that requires a theme, but if you know my Inkbunny, you know we have a few slots which we can use the theme. We could do a role reversal comic with Dee Dee, or we could do a PPG story. Let me know which you'd rather see, and we'll go with it.

Thanks for sticking with me this week! See you whenever!

April 24 2017

With our week having ended at last, I leave you with some very crushing final thoughts.

The day of reckoning is at hand. I have run out of material for the weekly shows. The entry that shut me down was No Girls Allowed!; I don't have any pictures that reduce censorship of a female character's scene, and the ones with adults go into Mature Musings instead, as you'll have noticed from the eclectic nature of that show.

Of course, to a certain extent, I wonder if a blog like this is even needed in this day and age. Just last night, Samurai Jack did a scene involving a nude little girl that not only didn't sexualize her despite being on [adult swim], but was used in a context-appropriate setting and pulled no punches in the message it gave. It incorporated the girl's nudity into character development, and didn't delve into cowardice at all.

If it were just that one moment, I'd've shrugged it off as something slipping through the cracks. But between that scene and the Lynn scene in Loud House, I've come to realize that we're living in a different society than when we began, than when I first started two years ago. It seems at long last people are starting to get the idea; the next logical step would be for internet forums to stop making a big deal out of it when it happens to a young'n. I predict good things in our future; we're finally progressing to a better world.

Of course, I'm not completely throwing in the towel. While I'm cutting off the flow of images to a once-per-month basis starting next month, I'm doing so so that when we do have enough material to sustain a full week, we can do so with our stream of examples like the old days. We'll also definitely be doing some special weeks with some comics and stuff.

So in conclusion, this isn't goodbye. When I'm ready, I'll be there. Until then, see you on Inkbunny!

April 17 2017

And so, the week having come to a conclusion, I leave you with these final thoughts.

Many of you are familiar with me for my commissioned artwork from such artists as Krizeii and Xierra099. All that artwork can be very expensive, usually taking up weeks worth of payment. It's even worse when I have to worry about a massive comic project spanning several different pages. The current project lasts around 40 or so pages!

All that is fine if I have the money, and I have some time to get it because I usually see Xierra bi-weekly and have Krizeii on speed dial. Problem is, my payment is very variable. I get $25 every week on Saturday no matter what, but depending on how much extra work I do, I get bonus cash from an outside employer. And believe it or not, that's often still not enough for much, assuming I have to spend the money on something else. I've got several movies I wanna see, but can't because I'm basically in debt with the artists.

So in order to make things fair, I'm going to have to ask you send my boss some PayPal cash, so he can help me out with this. PayPal money exclusively goes to PayPal accounts, so I can use it on artists freely. It's essentially like getting a discount on a picture. As a bonus, if you donate, you qualify for a Weighted Suggestion, which means you can send me an idea and I'll put a little thought into it since money is involved.

So be sure to send us that money at darkton.artemis@hotmail.com! See you then!

April 04 2017

I'm a little late, but the week is over at last, and so I leave you with these final thoughts.

Today's final thoughts are for a specific group I go to. The fact that the message has to stay up for a while during my latest visit (and that it has to survive an impostor posting as me) means the current blog week has been suspended, so that this message can stay up as long as possible. We'll resume regular operations next week.

Now for the message. This is dedicated to the fine men and women of 4chan.

So in case you guys couldn't tell, the blog just had a pair of posts involving guys. Aside from the April Fools post involving shotas, the fact that I post a bunch of sexy guys should hopefully give an indication that I'm not a pedo. After all, I wouldn't be posting them if I didn't have a reason to, and I'm certainly not gay!

I'm just as honest as I say I am: I'm in it to get the standards loosened up a little. In a way, they kinda are, what with that Loud House scene everyone talks about, but a little more progress couldn't hurt. Maybe if we saw something on, say, Powerpuff 2016 or SU, that'd be an indication, and no, I'm not talking about the twerking scene.

That said, I realize these scenes are a little weird when just looked at from my Inkbunny, so I recommend you read the accompanying blog posts. There's tags under the pictures, so you can see all the posts on a particular subject. I recommend checking out the No Girls Allowed tag to see exactly what I've been doing. I've provided it below so you can see immediately.

So in conclusion, I'm not likely to go away for a while, and if there's chances to share art, I'll be there. See you soon.

March 27 2017

The week of wellness has come to a close, and so I leave you with these final thoughts.

Well, at long last, we've reached a bit of a choke point; we're running out of material for the blog to showcase. No, the lack of material doesn't come from any of the weekday shows, but from Mature Musings! Believe it or not, it's hard to find examples of women in animation who aren't just being exploited for their bodies. After all, we cover anime and cartoons, and anime is known for being quite full of fanservice. And, well, it's hard to cover events if they don't happen.

So let's discuss what'd happen if the blog ran out of material. Well, the weekday shows would likely come to a close, of course, but the examples would keep running. Even if we don't have any examples from the official show, we still have quite a bit from fans. Although, in the past I've run into the issue of running out of material on that side, too, so we may have to halt production altogether.

Of course, in order to prevent myself from running out of material, I go through various trips to forums and art websites scouring for things I can use. I call these "supply raids" and do them regularly. Of course, I can only save a picture if I know it exists, and these pics don't tend to stay on sites like DeviantArt for very long, given the intrusive and hypocritical mods (I'll get to that, don't worry).

There's also the problem of running out of things to commission. I can't commission something if I don't have the money for it, and, I'll break the news here, the payment method is about to change again. We're going to have to start rationing money this time and saving it for big projects, as opposed to spending it the first time. Plus Krizeii will be starting school soon, so I won't have access to him.

So we might not be in business for much longer. Keep an eye on this site, we may have to start slowing down...

March 05 2017

Our week of sickness and low health has come to a close at last, and with its end, I leave you with these final thoughts.

First, an announcement: We're going to be doing remakes of some of our Xierra099 pictures! Well, remake is a strong word, think of it being an alternate version. Xierra's still in business, she's such a dear I can't bear to part with her. And besides, the artist for these alternate versions, Krizeii, doesn't often show his face, and only does so for brief intervals before vanishing for a long school year. So the lion's share of work will still be done by Xierra, so don't think she's going anywhere.

Now for an important message on future content. As implied earlier, we've successfully acquired the picture we needed for our first major event. What this is is we'll be doing a month themed around a specific show, and how what it did reflects the climate of the country it originated in.

For this special, we'll be talking about Doraemon, using key moments starring the lovable Shizuka Minamoto (Sue if you're American). She's been doing this since the 1970's, so you can be sure we're gonna get some moments to compare with the rest of Japan.

The schedule is as follows:
-Monday will talk about the original 1970's manga.
-Tuesday will talk about the 1979 anime that lasted all through the 80's and 90's.
-Wednesday will talk about early episodes of the 2005 anime.
-Thursday will discuss the downfall of the series in terms of acceptable content. It is here we will present the special No Girls Allowed! picture edit.
-And Friday we'll wrap things up to talk about the state of loli in Japan today.

I'll try and supplement this with some Shizuka fanart, but, well, I make no guarantees, stuff like this is hard to find. Once our little show is over, we'll be taking a temporary break for Saturday and Sunday, so know there won't be any entries that day, since it breaks up the switching of Cartoon and Anime examples.

I hope you find it entertaining! See you tomorrow!

February 27 2017

With the week over at last, and with a lot more stability than last time, I leave you with these final thoughts.

First, on the announcement front, we're planning a themed week where we focus on a specific show and how it relates to a specific country's climate. The week will begin the week after I acquire the pic I need to illustrate my point: a specific No Girls Allowed entry involving something culturally specific... but not to our culture.

Now for the meat of things. This week was the week of the Oscars. Not too keen on all the politics, but that's the current era; we're already the Divided States of America, and part of me wonders if that was intentional.

Now, the Oscars are ostensibly supposed to promote excellence in filmmaking. They don't; this fact has been documented several times. So, because of that, I wanted to talk about a trend that's been bugging me, and yes, it involves the way female nudity is used.

Today we're talking about Science Fiction, or Space Fantasy or Future Fantasy or whatever unscientific thing they're calling it now. Typically Sci-Fi has been seen as the realm of nerds, and the typical perception of a nerd is someone who is scrawny with a nasally voice and glasses, who'll never get a date because they're too much of a geek. For that reason, Hollywood has always had a problem with getting their beloved 18-year-old males to see it, since all they're gonna come up with it people who're more interested in gadgetry and tech than anything 18-year-old males are "supposed" to like. Give me a fictional universe and you can bet a large portion of the fanbase has created its own explanations for how everything works, all in incomprehensible gibberish that sounds scientific but means nothing.

So the Hollywood execs decided to go the extra mile and add sexy women, because that seems to be their default to how to "improve" things.

Thus we get stuff like Oblivion, where a woman shows her butt as she skinny dips through the water; or Jupiter Ascending, where the first thing the camera does with a woman who had her youth restored is show her bare butt to the camera (there's a PG-13 joke here, but this blog is trying to be family-friendly); or Terminator 3, where a sexy female Terminator travels back in time, and shows her butt (noticing a trend here?) to the camera. Sex was even added to both of the first two new Star Trek films, showing women in underwear for no reason other than gratuitous pandering. One shot even held a clue to a viral website, with the assumption being the perverted 18-year-old male viewer would be too distracted ogling the woman to notice or care. I think it's safe to say Gene Roddenberry would never approve of his franchise going in that direction.

There's a particularly insidious side to this, too. Men get to show their butts on camera in these films, too, and it's getting more and more common. There's X-Men: Days of Future Past with Hugh Jackman as Wolverine, The Martian with the main hero of that film, and now that the T-800's being used more as a hero now, he has that, too. The common link between all of these is that these men are the heroes, while the women being exposed are all villains. It's essentially sending the signal that attractive men are good guys, but attractive women are evil. It also sends the message that a woman should never be intimate or proud of their bodies, or they're bad people for some undefined reason other than society being run by men and standards being hard to break.

But don't worry! There are heroic women who bare all in fiction. There just aren't any villainous men who do the same. Clearly the director doesn't want the girls to fall in love with the bad guy. Feel free for the guys to bag the bad gal, though!

This is just an example of the double standard of how nudity is used in fiction with regards to men and women. Once again, female nudity is being put somewhere it doesn't belong just to titillate the perverted guys in the audience. But when it comes to equal-opportunity fanservice, there's specific rules that make them look good. I have no love for Hollywood, not as long as they keep doing things like this and making it seem acceptable.

So why pat Hollywood on the back when they deserve to be slapped instead?

February 19 2017

And so, with the week coming to close, I'd like to end us out with some nice final thoughts to wrap us up.

Soup first went down on a Thursday of last month. I was hoping the downtime would be short so I could get back to what I was doing. Instead, this "downtime" was more of a server crash that lasted about a month, and I was forced to restart the blog since the backup came from two years before I joined. Combine this with Tumblr kicking me out in November last year, and this is the THIRD time I've started this blog. It's really annoying having to type all these posts again, as well as find the exact pictures I used in the previous outings.

That's okay, we've got a lot of material. Ever since I hired Krizeii to do edits, I now have access to a lot more professional-looking tools for this blog. In fact, now that I've built up a stockpile of edits from him, I now have enough material for four whole weeks of operation with a fifth one pending, and maybe a sixth if I'm feeling creative. So, yes, we can do a lot of content. In fact, we can do it better than we used to.

All that's left is to sort things around here. I have four topics I can cover in Mature Musings, and plenty of Role Reversals. Yes It Can Be Done! entries are harder, but I have a lot of those, too. And as long as there are shows to work with and questions in my inbox, we can cover the other shows, too. We should be back in business in no time, and we'll be productive for a while!

So thanks for sticking with me, and enjoy your President's Day!
